kleenexwomanSo I have very bad news and very good news for myself.
The bad news is that I will definitely not be going to see WHAT IS IT? at the Ann Arbor Film Festival. I have tried to get a ride, have even contacted Greyhound and Chip Cabs. Chip Cabs won't take checks, and I only have $27 in quarters and that is definitely not good enough for 2 hours there, waiting, 2 hours back, and the $8 ticket. Plus dinner if I don't want to starve. And there is no Greyhound bus stop in the city. They stopped running over a year ago.
The good news is that I am now bound and determined to make it to the showing at the Michigan Theatre, 603 East Liberty in Ann Arbor, on April 16th, 8 PM.
If I'd known about the show today earlier than I did, I would have saved my money and made plans. As it is, I have $27 and desperation. On April 16th, I will have money, a ride (hopefully), and plans. Many plans. I think this may be better.

ghostgecko's "Shadow of the Thin Man" story and give it to Crispin. I would like to do this for other people I like who produce neat Crispin-themed things. Does anyone have anything that they would like me to print out and give to him (Pictures, stories, nude photographs of yourself, money, locks of your hair, your firstborn child, etc.--not guaranteeing that any money or nude photographs will actually get to him, because I don't have enough of either)? Or something that they would like me to try and get him to autograph?
Or, because there is a question and answer session afterwards, anything interesting they would like me to ask him (besides "Will you have sex with [insert your name here]?", 'cause he already has those skanky girlfriends of his)?
Rest assured that I shall take careful notes (possibly just mental ones depending on how hard my fannish little hand is shaking as I write in my pretty four-color Oscar Wilde notebook) and transcribe them in this very LiveJournal here afterwards.

Good idea, giving him SotTM. :D *fumbles* Erm, maybe you could give him Terrier for me? With a little drawing as cover art? And the ratpr0n url in a corner or something? *is all dithering* Argh, everything I've ever done is either embarrassingly slashy or just bad. *head to desk* I'll just draw something new, dangit.
Um... yeah. It's early/late, I'm not thinking really clearly, and this is very exciting news indeed.
