Dear wonderful Yuletide author! Here are my thoughts on the fandoms I've requested:

Agent Pendergast: I like slash and girlslash and threesomes and just about everything. D'Agosta and Pendergast are my OTP, pretty much, but I enjoy everyone with everyone. (Except Margo and Pendergast, I never got that.) I'm not opposed to incest or kink. I really like suspense and adventures in interesting places, especially if the adventures involve something that the author is clearly interested in. Write me something you know about and want to share!

Dark Tower Series: I just finished this and my mind is so completely blown that it's not even funny. I'm captivated by the world that Roland comes from, and would love a story that showcases its past or present.

The Maltese Falcon: This is the first Dashiell Hammett novel I've ever read. I loved the writing style, the subtlety of the characterization and spareness of emotion. I liked the movie, but the book and movie are by necessity different; if you have a choice, I'd prefer you use the book as a guide rather than the movie. I'm pretty interested in the group dynamic of Joel, Brigid, Wilmer, and Gutman (I was especially fond of Joel Cairo and did like Peter Lorre's portrayal a lot).

Tipping the Velvet: I just read this book a month ago, and not only did it hit a lot of my kinks, it made me feel a lot less isolated. (I only just looked it up and found out there's a TV series--I haven't seen it.) What I'd really like to see is a look at Florence and Eleanor, and/or more of the queer scene portrayed in the novel.

Thank you! You're awesome!

(on another note, I'm looking at the list of allowed fandoms and kicking myself a little for not nominating anything when the nominating was good. There's all kinds of amazing crap on there. Oh my god, someone nominated "Pancho and Lefty." I love that song. Shit, I could have nominated "The Red-Headed Stranger" or "Carmelita" or something or any Steely Dan song ever. I need to start keeping a list of things I think of that I can nominate for next year.)

Yay Yuletide!

Hey, you wouldn't happen to have a spare AO3 invite would you? I didn't realize I needed an AO3 account to sign up!

YES I DO. Do you want it sent to the address you used to send me Sixguns and Sorcery? (Which is a hoot, by the way, I'm slowly reading it.)

Yes please! YAY!!!! And yes, that email address is fine!

Sooo glad you like S&S! It's been my weird baby for years. I just hope I get inspired to get off my ass and finish it at some point... (I'd love to hear feedback on it!)
