Things too trivial to make entirely new posts for:

  • 05:08 Drink recipe: Juice of 1 lime, teaspoon sugar, pomegranate juice, tonic, alcohol of choice. Fizzy, sour, refreshing. Need name for it. #
  • 05:13 Cuddling kitties for Seth! Cuddling kitties like mad! Cuddle, cuddle, cuddle! #
  • 05:46 Cake turned out to be a sweet, lime-flavored egg pancake. Recipe itself was clearly a work of magical realism. #
  • 18:50 Sammi and Jason made cookies and are making tacos! Mmmmm, foooooooood. #
  • 22:03 Learning lots about Mexican abortifacents and hot/cold cuisine, not quite getting paper done, but getting there. #
  • 23:10 Pulp Fiction on AMC. Wasn't Tarantino going to do a Man from UNCLE movie? ...what DO they call a Quarter Pounder with cheese in Russia? #
  • 23:18 @retroactivegirl Finals always create a strange sense of calm in me up until about the last minute. Stress-induced Zen. #

For the first one: "Fizzy Lifting Drink"? :O It's one of the things in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, so thank Willy Wonka, not me, haha.

I downloaded a paper from JSTOR about herbs and plants used in various regions of Mexico for reproductive health. Apparently, in Oaxaca, women have traditionally used a mixture of lime juice and salt to induce abortion.

I was looking up the symbolism of ingredients in a wedding cake in a book...

hey you. i'm interested in doing this (i.e. tweeting straight to LJ) because i never fucking touch the lJournal anymore but i do at least tweet (not that it's fascinating) and i thought maybe that would at least put me back out there a tiny. bit. so, is this app now defunct? clue me in.

btw i still find you incredibly fascinating and hope that someday we are less geographically separated and hanging out might actually be viable. (p.s., come visit NYC sometime!)

oh man, Loudtwitter...I don't know. I think it's dead :( I disabled it after I stopped using it several times a day every day. This (http://greg.cohoon.name/misc/twitter2lj.txt) looks promising, but too technical for me for this late at night.
It suddenly struck me as bizarre that people can drift from direct communication just because they use different blogging platforms. This problem never happened back when everyone was still writing letters by Pony Express. Of course, then they drifted from direct communication because the ponies got eaten by wolves or shit like that.

I wish we'd met sooner than we did in real life. I need to get to New York for so, so many reasons. And maybe stay there.
