1. My phone is dead, and I think I need a new battery for it. :(

2. Does anyone happen to have (or know where to find) a scanned page of a high school history textbook? I'm mocking up a few pages of a Middle Earth history textbook for the equivalent of the 19th-20th century for my creative project for that class, and if anyone has something like that on hand, it'd be really useful just for reference.

3. Seth and I are going to stay here for Thanksgiving and probably go out to eat. Does anyone in the Mt. Pleasant area know if there are restaurants that stay open on Thanksgiving, or restaurants that have special Thanksgiving meals or anything?

RE: #2, have you tried Amazon's "Search inside this book" feature, or Google Books' previews?

...a Denny's, those are usually open on holidays. Or an IHOP. I'm not sure what restaurants are up there, but you could probably google the restaurants in your area and either see if they're listed online as being open or at least get the phone numbers and call them to find out.

We have lots of 24-hour type restaurants! I'm thinking Little Chef, since it's right across the street and is generally a nice place to go. Or Chinese, but I don't know if the Chinese buffet will be open.

I like being able to walk to restaurants. You don't get that in the suburbs.

I know a lot of people who prefer to go out for holiday dinners, but you know? I've never done that. Not that I have anything against it; I've just never been in the position to do it. Jeff's dad used to invite us out to dinner on Thanksgiving and Christmas several times, but he usually called late enough that we'd already set up the plans with my sister to do stuff with her.

Good luck finding one! Chinese or otherwise!

White Castle does good stuff on Thanksgiving (I'm not joking).

IHOP is always good.

But the best one of all would be a bar.

There is no White Castle. :( We have an IHOP! \o/

Seth doesn't like bars, and after certain amounts of experience, I have decided that I hate them unless there's karaoke and nice rednecks and the possibility of a redneck fight (http://www.sendspace.com/file/klmm5c).

Any topic in particular you'd want scanned? It's 15th-modern European History...

Any page with a lot of sidebars or illustrations, if yours has any--I'm looking for layout and format, mostly. Topic absolutely doesn't matter.

Thank you so much!
