HAY ALL AMURRICANS ON MY FLIST. You voted, right? Absentee, in person, what have you? If you haven't yet, go do it! There's four hours left here, and if you get to the polling place before 8 PM, you can still vote even if you're still standing in line at 8.

I just got back, and it was more trouble than I'd thought it would be for a number of reasons but I still did it. I will update or edit this post later and tell you all about it, but I have to go to class now.

I did it...

I voted on the first day of early voting here, which was like...two weeks ago. I love early voting. Though I'd have stood in line today if I'd had to. This shit's important.

Early voting makes things easier on me mostly because I don't have a car or the time to go vote on election days. And with early voting, I've never had to stand in a really long line for hours at a time.

But hey...you got out and voted. You'd be surprised at how many college students your age are still apathetic on this, even knowing how huge a deal it is.

I voted via mail a couple weeks ago. Evidently where I live now has so few registered voters -- while I'm in a very populated suburban town, the apartments where I live are on the fringes of farmland -- so they have all the people mail in their ballots rather than set up a polling place. NO complaints there! I missed vote-by-mail after I left Oregon (where that's all they have).

I am only bitter because I wanted an "I VOTED" sticker.

I think they mostly set up polling places in town for the college kids, here--it's just the town and then tons of farmland as well. I kind of wish I'd voted early, now.

Aww, they did not include an "I VOTED" sticker when they sent you the ballot? That just sucks. :(

Yay for you!

I don't know if he got an absentee. I sure hope so. :/ We don't talk about politics much.
