Give the dude an expensive red sports car, a coupon for hair plugs, and a total snicker behind his back, is what I'd do . . .

My candidate for the Russo-American thing: Susan Eisenhower (granddaughter of Ike) (I met her at a seminar once; very cool lady, exceedingly knowledgable), married to a Russian scholar whose name escapes me right now. One of those weird Cold War relationships that somehow blossomed 'cross the divide.

Awww, that's pretty cool. Like a political Romeo and Juliet!

Yep. As much as I dislike the current state of affairs inre: HRC demanding the seat of power as something of a marital right (we are not a monarchy, goddamnit!), I do find these little tidbits interesting. Fer'instance, one of Nixon's daughters married Eisenhower's grandson, and they have a daughter (Jennie Eisenhower) who's made her own career on as a determined and acclaimed stage actress. (That she's also quite good looking is one of those things that screws heavily with my head. Nixon's granddaughter?!?)

I'm reminded of an alternate universe I read about in which Nixon resigned from politics after losing the 1960 election and took over the Ed Sullivan show.

Egads, woman, don't bring up 1960! I voted for Nader (my first POTUS ballot; it went to Michigan, so it didn't make any electoral difference; but even still . . .) in 2000. That was the first sigil I've yet got of +40 time reversals in POTUS politix!

Even when you're kinda flat you still get pokey, *and* padded bras are needed to fill out a surprising lot of clothing--or alterations are needed. Blergh.

Aw, well. Padded bras or no, at least my back won't hurt anymore.
