kleenexwoman: A caricature of me looking future-y. (Liverpool Fantasy)
I was going to post something long and angsty about my personal life, but then I realized that there aren't that many people who really care. Suffice it to say that real life is confusing and makes me cry, even when I really like people that live in it.
So, poll: Which is more important in art, accurate expression of one's feelings, or aesthetic skill (whatever that aesthetic may be)? You are not allowed to say "both" because that's the ideal.

I don't have any interesting opinions today either. [livejournal.com profile] drworm and [livejournal.com profile] ghostgecko both do today and I pretty much agree with them both, except not as eloquently. Hi guys. I love you both and you are very brilliant and I hope you are feeling OK.
Also, I'm officially pimping [livejournal.com profile] aryneth yet again because Skylie has created a really nifty fantasy world and spends a lot of time on it and has some cute pictures up of her characters.

I need to get some money so I can go to the post office again.

I also need to work on some screenplays my mom has been bugging me about. Do you think my grandma would mind if I created a horribly caricatured version of her? Not that it would be difficult. Most people act like some kind of caricature anyway.

Also I finally found [livejournal.com profile] dr_ninjapants's movies that he sent to me. I keep misplacing the CDs. This time they were in my sock drawer. I now have no excuse not to watch them!

I'm going to spend the rest of the day consuming other people's art. Not a bad way to spend a hot and sticky day. Well, I could be outside getting some exercise and vitamin D, but I don't really care.
