Sep. 1st, 2004 07:06 pmAstronomy class was great today. Mr. Osborn did a slide show of the planets. One of the things he said was that "there was something going on between Neptune and Uranus." Planet pairings, anyone?
Mercury and Venus: Venus is definitely the domme in that relationship. And Mars and Earth are kind of thinking about getting together, but the Moon is kind of jealous and has been hanging around Earth ever since they broke up. Saturn and Jupiter are totally doing it, even though they both have a bunch of little moons. And poor Pluto...Pluto's got nobody. I feel sorry for Pluto.
Also, had a discussion about postmodernism in the media with my JRN 101 prof today. As far as I have been able to figure, postmodern media is media that is aware of the fact that it's media. Pretty cool, huh? Then there's the question of the difference between self-awareness and self-referential...
Here's an even better question: Why don't I want to eat? Ever since I've gotten up to Central, the thought of eating has made me slightly sick. It's not that I'm not hungry, which I am. But every time I do eat, I feel ill and have to lie down. Is it the cafeteria food? The college air? The stress?
