Special Guns N' Roses Edition

On behest of Chuck Klosterman, the author of Fargo Rock City and Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs (a good way to spend an evening), I recently downloaded the video of "Welcome to the Jungle." It wasn't as good as the video I had made up in my head--had a lot of the same themes, but the visuals in my head are just more arresting and meaningful. For example, the clips of riots and police beatings and such are more prevalent in my own little head video. I guess my version isn't so much about Axl and how sexy he can dance as it is about how freaky and terrifying L.A. is, which is the point of the song, for those of you who aren't up on your GNR lore.
The one visual I did like, and that I'm adding to my own head video, is that of Slash sitting in front of a back of television sets and swigging from a bottle of Jack Daniels. Wouldn't Axl and Slash make a good RPS couple? I'm going to write a story about that.
I see that there's already a site devoted partially to GNR slashfic. Rockfic.com. Pretty cool. GNR has the second-largest number of fics written about them, second only to Metallica. These people have good taste.
Oh, and also SpreadMetalLust. Kick-ass.

Also, it occurs to me that Axl Rose looks a lot like a very pretty girl. And that Jason Mewes seems to have based his "Jay" look on offstage Axl. That's funny.

One more thing and then I'll shut up.
I think Slash would make a really good Voldemort. He's got the whole scary, mysterious, hidden-eyes thing--he scares me a little, anyway. He was in the most dangerous band on the planet. He loves snakes, and actually had a band called the Snakepit. And his riffs want to make me go out and kill Muggles.

Slash is the one on the bottom. His skull is clearly the most badass. I can picture that on Snape's shoulder.
