too much horror business

Roomies are handing out perfectly good candy to children. An outrage, I cry, but they do not hear me. Movies will have to wait.
I started writing a Halloween story based on a dream I had a while ago. However, things interrupted my concentration, and welcome things they were...

nyghtshayde sent me a sweet letter and a handmade Halloween card warning me to watch out for zombies and Cthulhu. :E

ghostgecko sent me a huge envelope with these things in it:
-Awesome books, including a couple of ones by Robert Sheckley, one by an author I've never heard of but that looks quite good, one by Thomas Disch on "how science fiction took over the world", and the script of "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back."
-A DVD of "High School USA." This is to watch tomorrow night. :3
-JEFF COMBS'S AUTOGRAPH! :D :D :D
-And a very nifty drawing of him (Lew) being menaced by a dinosaur.
My roommates were quite astonished at my joy and my dancing-around-the-room-ness. I love getting mail.
I got so excited, in fact, that I knocked over a mostly-empty bottle of Cherry Coke onto my keyboard...luckily there wasn't much in it, but now my keyboard is not working very well and I won't be able to write my Halloween story. The techies at the Help Desk suggested letting it dry out and seeing how it works tomorrow morning. I am impatient, and also clumsy and kinda dumb about not having spillable things right next to my precious computer. Cross yer fingers and hope the keyboard is OK, otherwise I won't be able to do NaNoWriMo.
But now I tear myself away from the library computer and go to watch movies. I love you all. Happy Halloween.
