This is an 80's movie about the 50's. Neal Patrick Harris stars as a depressed young man who's whisked away to an underground rock 'n' roll dance by his admiring English teacher, played by Patrick Stewart, and Mr. Stewart's hip younger sister, Rebecca Romjin. Encouraged by his dropout older brother, Alex Winter, and his dimwitted but goodhearted best friend, Ethan Suplee, he begins a budding romance with Jason Lee, a disillusioned guitarist who harbors a secret need for love. But things are complicated by the suave and seductive Nathan Fillion, who's ready to drop his faithful partner, Sean Astin, for the hot young NPH...and by the stodgy high school principal, James Caan.
