holy crap the new Venture Brothers. Holy crap.

Guys, if you missed it, according to James urbaniak it's going to be on every night from now until Thursday at 12:30 AM. Will I be watching it every single time? You bet I will, because it is just that insane.


omg Sgt. Hatred is their new bodyguard and he is NO Brock but okay I can see this working and oh Rusty you are so smart and so stupid at the same time and omgomgomg 21 wants a little baby 24 he is so devoted and holycrap I loved FAT BROCK WTF and Hank is actually maturing in his own insane boy geek psycho way but Dean is...getting more pathetic, poor guy, and wtf why is Hunter suddenly not trans that's a GIANT RIP-OFF.

(and yes this episode is in non-chronological order, and paying attention to that little comics value guide that pops up appears to be a hint. Very very clever.) Now I'm wondering if there's a difference between structuring a story that's meant to be read or seen normally, and structuring one that you know is going to go in non-chronological order--it can't be as simple as taking a pre-existing story and chopping one up.

And the Monarch and Mrs. Monarch and Pete and Billy haven't even shown up yet oh god I can't wait for them oh my god every Sunday is going to be WONDERFUL.

FAT BROCK MADE ME REALLY SAD if only because I'm sure that's the only time we'll see him naked this season, and on the DVDs they don't censor bits anymore. So I'll see Brock naked, but as a huge fatty. :(

Also I'm a little annoyed because I'm pretty sure that they're not going to go back to Brock until at least the seventh episode, and IT IS KILLING ME NOT KNOWING WTF IS UP WITH THE OSI/SPHINX/MOLOTOV. I just ... I don't understand! What is happening!! Aiieeee!

But the next episode should be really funny. I saw the first fifteen minutes of it at Dragon Con, and it was hilarious, if not deeply disturbing for Hank.

At the very beginning of the episode you SEE 21 carrying baby 24! I swear! So he did it! He has a clone maybe of baby 24?

EDIT: Nevermind, I think that's just 24's head. I still haven't figured out the timeline here...

I don't mind that Hunter is suddenly not trans because Hunter clearly has had such a good time with shakin' those boobs and such.

I like Hank's mullet.

I am still pretty confused about how exactly everything fits together but I have it on the DVR so I think I'll watch it a few more times...

I think the actual stories go with Brock's going forward, and Hank/Dean/Rusty's going backwards from the ending...but I'm not sure what the hell is going on with Brock quite yet. idk, intrigue isn't my strong point. I know Hitler is the dog...?
