GIP ish thing

I made icons. I shall make more icons, but these are icons for now. Does anyone know how to create the kind of icon that stays one picture for about a second, then goes onto another one?

Anyway, proof of my geekiness.

Harry Potter, when he's older.

The famous picture of Harry in New York, right before he's shot by Mark David Voldemort.

Imagine there's no magic, it's easy if you try.

THE EVIL ONE!!!!!

Thank you. I'll be doing some Hendrix and Zep *MAGICMAGICMAGIC* icons as soon as I can download the Lumos font.

The type of icon you're talking about are animated .gifs, you must have an imaging program that allows you to make them. Or have a buddy who has such an imaging program... *cough*... or steal said imaging program from the internet. Either way, those icons amused me.

I am most pleased that you liked them. Unfortunately, I can't use them myself because I have a free account and thus only 3 icons...I can only hope to spread them around Livejournal.

You wouldn't happen to know where one could get an imaging program, would you?

There are several free trials of stuff like Jasc Paint Shop Pro on their site (http://www.jasc.com/products/?), which comes with a .gif animation program... and if you have broadband connection, you can search for cracked versions of the program on peer-to-peer sharing networks (not like I'm advising doing anything illegal, of course *whistle*). I use the animation shop that comes with Paint Shop Pro for all of my .gif animations. And PSP in itself is an invaluable resource, and though it's rather pricey, I bought 6.0 years ago and never regretted it. I believe the current version is up to 8.0... Also, there's a completely free imaging program called GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/), and though I don't think it does .gif animation, it does support the kinds of palettes and layers one would expect with Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.
