you don't have to call me darlin', darlin'
Jul. 2nd, 2010 03:23 amI've been learning to sew! I recently made these pillows as presents for my dad and grandfather. The Western-themed one went to my grandfather, the tropical one to my dad, since Grandpa likes Westerns and Dad likes tropical-themed stuff. His entire house is tropical-themed, where it isn't beige.
( I made pillows, fuck yeah )
And here is the going-away present I made for

( I made other stuff too, fuck yeah )
This was a seriously complex project, so Mom was kind enough to help me make it. (I made her a pillow on Mother's Day, yes, but I didn't think to take pictures of it. She loves it, though.) We ended up staying up pretty late to finish it, and at one point Mom told me, "If Seth doesn't appreciate this, you break up with him." I laughed, and she said, "I'm not kidding!"
So I woke up early, finished the bag, and drove down to Ohio. Seth liked the bag a lot. We watched a bunch of Sam Rockwell movies:
( reviews under the cut )
( It's complicated )
