Special Media Edition
Oct. 6th, 2004 04:21 pmHugh McDiarmid Jr. came to speak to our Media class today.
For those of you that do not habitually read the Free Press, Mr. McDiarmid is the environmental reporter for that fine newspaper. He spoke for the entire class period and was interesting and funny and charming and knowledgeable and I learned a hell of a lot.
( It was pretty cool. )
I want to be a reporter. Actually, I want to be a reporter like Hunter Thompson or P.J. O'Rourke. I want to go cover things and write highly subjective, funny, and thought-provoking things about them.
That's what I'm doing in this LJ, or trying to, at least.
In other news, I just got a letter from Tammy from September. :sigh: Time travel, time travel...
