kleenexwoman: A caricature of me looking future-y. (Shoot the bitch and write a book.)

(no subject)

I think I've forgotten how to write original fiction. I haven't really made up characters in a long time. I envy those who can. Eh, that's ok--fanfiction is artistically satisfying for me. I don't really need to make myself write original stuff, just so I can feel like I'm contributing something to the F.C., or to make myself feel like a real, serious writer. So I don't have anything I think is good enough even to submit to the Central Review. So what? So I'm never going to get published. So what? It should be enough that other people do, and can.

Here's a picture of me. [livejournal.com profile] vicfitz82 took it:

OMG. You have my hair from highschool. :) You are (as Daryn would put it) HELLA ADORABLE!!! :D

I think that's why I'm fighting the urge to write fanfic. I love my own characters too much to lose them. Also, I LOVE reading other's fanfic, but don't think I could "do it right." Maybe ever.

Again, you're adorable. I can't get over your adorability - factor 42 and rising! :D

Uh, "aye" to all the previous comments. You really are quite striking. And I'm sure it's a bitch to deal with in the morning, but I tell ya -- if you've gotta have crazy flyaway Jewish hair, it might as well be the full schmugelstein. (Note my complete mangling of Yiddish hyperbole. What the hell is a schmugelstein, anyway?)

love the pic...sorry that original fiction has eluded you as of late, it's not easy. I suggest starting with an original universe and writing from there...and yes, it's normal to see everything as in some way stolen, it really was all stolen from someone somewhere
