This works better. I can accept the idea of energy when it's clear that it's another term for subjective emotional impressions, efforts, etc--you know what my energy is like because I seem like an energetic, chaotic person to you (which I am), and that's the impression you get from me, that's how you "feel" me. You're happy to keep to yourself and be reasonably chill, but when you feel that someone needs help, you reach out in very tangible ways--asking if they're OK, making food for them, cuddling.
When the idea of "energy" is expressed in those terms I totally get it--it's jargon, but it's jargon I can understand easily and adapt to. When people start talking about auras and chi balls and astral bodies is when I get mixed up.
