kleenexwoman: A caricature of me looking future-y. (The degenerate elite)

I'm pretty sure that at one point in my life, some old gypsy woman in my family, most likely angered by my parents' cavalier attitudes to their cultural responsibilities, pointed a withered, gnarled finger at me and muttered, "May she be forever entangled with redheads!" Because it always happens.
I think that if my love life imploded tomorrow and I had to find another boyfriend/girlfriend, I would be incapable of dating a blonde or a brunette. It would just be too weird. My brain would say "Not for you." (Blondes and brunettes belong together in color-mixed pairs. Otherwise you can't tell them apart. I'm serious, I sometimes have shitty face-recognition skills.)

How many of you guys have red hair?

Mine's from a bottle, does that count?

I wish I had your curse. I looooove redheads but I've never been 'entangled' with one. Actually the guy at work that I'm in love with is a redhead. Not like a full-out redhead, his hair is mostly like reddish brown but all his facial hair is red and he's got the complexion. OMG.

Hmm...

I'm naturally a brunette (chestnut hair, which is kind of brown with a light reddish hint), but you've seen the pictures. I've been just about every color in the book...

oh redheads! You could have been cursed much worse, to be sure. Some would gladly give up redundant body parts to have such a curse.

(my hair is greying brown but I inherited freckles from my mother who was a redhead. When I was younger, my facial hair was red in parts but.. no longer)

Reddish - more in summer than in winter. My most recent summer photo is, arg, from 2006. I posted it in the most recent entry on my main journal, which I added you to. (In fact, I added everyone from this journal over to [livejournal.com profile] cobaltnine, because I'm going to condense the two into one in the next few weeks.)

I ARE TRUE BLUE FIRECROTCH

Should I mention how many people have made ewwww faces at red body hair? Or thought my hair was dyed or a wig or something?

My grandmother cursed me into the red hair. It was not a kind curse either, at least from her point of view. :( But then she died, so...

Also, my dad's beard used to be very red while his hair was dark brown. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that you aren't supposed to trust a man whose beard is a different color from his hair.

Me! Not pure orange red, but certainly closer to red than any other color (especially in the beard). Whether this is from Jewish genes, Celtic genes, or the fact that my parents probably hadn't had sex from the time they got married (early 1976) to the time they conceived me (autumn 1979) and their equipment was a bit rusty, I don't know. (They both had dark brown hair and I had two grandparents with blonde hair and two with black.)

so... that seems strange.
