Cops are strange creatures.
Once my family was driving up to Malaysia and we got stopped by a traffic policeman who accused us of speeding (we were) and asked us to pay the fine:
"How much is it?"
Police: *hesitates* "How much do you want to pay?"
"...$10?"
Police: "Okay."
